A quirky hill running event in Köykkyri, Kempele
This year, Köykkyri is switching up the lap. The new roughly 740-metre loop packs around 40 metres of climbing per lap – more trail, more hill, and no fewer than two aid stations to keep runners moving and queues under control. The same warm-hearted pre-Christmas mayhem and community spirit remain. Choose 6 h, 4 h, Fun Run or Junior Run and come stomp November’s darkness away.
Categories & route
Choose your own way to take on Köykkyri Hill. Every category uses the same roughly 740-metre loop with about 40 metres of climbing per lap.
6 h
Six hours to collect as many laps and metres of climbing as your legs, head and pre-Christmas spirit allow. Mass start at 10:00.
4 h
A concentrated four-hour dose of hill running. Same route and same atmosphere, with the start at 12:00.
Fun Run
Decide when to start and how long to stay on the hill between 10:00 and 16:00. Run one lap or keep going all day – the final lap must begin before 16:00.
Junior Run
A Köykkyri adventure for younger runners on a shorter course, surrounded by encouragement and the joy of finishing.
A new loop for 2026
